For as long as I can remember, life has been the same for as far as I can remember. Life was routine to me, I go to church on Sundays, school on weekdays, study for tests, do homework, play games, eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and occasionally go on vacation during the holidays. Although I had no problems at school, or with my family, my life felt the same everyday, and pretty unfulfilling. I・d been going to church regularly ever since I can remember and went to Sunday school and fellowship as I grew older. Even with that I didn・t have a definite clue whether God was really there for me. Although I・d been in church for quite a long time I would sometimes still doubt His existence.
Going to the various winter camps from our church and listening to the speakers there made me understand more about God. During my first year in winter camp, I didn・t learn much and just thought of it as a camp. After a while however it was the speakers・ testimonies on how God changed their lives that made me really believe in God. Although no individual helped me say the sinner・s or repentance prayer, I prayed along with what the speakers told us to say. Through their testimonies, I believed that God・s really there for me even though I didn・t have a shocking experience like those in the Bible.
Even before I really believed God, He helped me out whether it was losing something, or helping me through school. On a day of a quiz that I forgot about, I prayed that God will help me through. Incredibly, the teacher cancelled the quiz and said the quiz would be on the next day. What I started to realize is that although my life seemed like a routine just like before; I started having a change in my perception of the world. I used to think about myself all the time, but now, I realize how fortunate I am. I also started to think about converting my friends into Christians so they can go to heaven and have eternal life like me. God had helped me through a lot in my life, and what I can take comfort in is that God will continue to help me later on in life as well.
