Thank you for visiting ECBC! We are glad you can join us.
A few years ago I was placed in a public school and I received lots of bad influences. I wanted to fit in badly; I did so, but with a price. In grade four I was skipping church a lot, lacked interest in all of the childrenˇ¦s stories. This made a large impact by opening my mind to different temptations. I was very mean to a lot of people and only caring for myself. Soon I felt lost and confused. A year passed and I had to move to Calgary for 3 months.
Over that amount of time I went to my first fellowship with my youth Pastor Cal. We only had five people but it was always worthwhile. After that point, I saw that being a Christian is both important and fun. Pastor Cal helped me understand the points and privileges of being a Christian. He was a fun guy, supporting me all the time and giving me support while I was there. As I went back to Vancouver I was determined to make a U-turn and become a God-loving Christian. I saw that this showed me the way to live. As I found out what being a real Christian is, I found real friends and better ways to live. Godˇ¦s biggest help to me was that He guided me through tough times. He is the only friend I can talk to at all times and will always give me answers.
God has taught me to live a better life benefiting me and pleasing God. With God I saw how lucky we are, that we can have a Father to rely on and trust. I have seen God work in my life time and time again while I was in Dallas, Texas. Through those times God provided me with great churches and awesome friends. I also always feel secure with God because I know that God has promised us eternal life.
