Before I became a Christian, I was a sinner. I worried a lot and did everything everyone else did; I lied, taken other people’s things, hurt others and felt hate. In other words, I was sinning.

One day, when I was very young, I learned at church what the consequences of sin was and what hell was like. But there was one way to go to heaven. Ask for forgiveness of my sins and to believe Jesus died for me and rose again. To do this you had to pray with someone and ask Jesus into your heart. I gave it some thought there. When I got home I asked my mom to pray for me and that I wanted to accept Jesus into my heart. Then she told me to kneel beside the bed and repeat after her. Then I was finished. I had asked Jesus into my heart.

Life hadn’t changed too much except it has gotten a little harder. What matters is that now I can go to heaven and have eternal life. I now have learned that my commitment matters no matter how young I was it still counts. Jesus is in my heart and I intend for Him to stay there. My purpose of life is different now. I will spread the good news throughout the world. So that when the rapture comes, many more would be ready for Him. I no longer serve Satan or myself. I serve God.
