Elisha Loh

Hello, My name is Elisha Loh. I was born in a Christian family and had accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior some years ago. My mother explained the gospel to me and asked whether I would like to ask Jesus to come into my heart. I realized and acknowledged that I was a sinner in need of Jesus’ gift of salvation. I believed that Jesus came to die on the cross for me. He paid the penalty for my sins. He rose from the dead, conquering death.

After I accepted Christ as my personal Savior I found that I have a purpose for living, I found it easier to love and forgive those who offended me I also became more conscious of doing anything that is not right.

I feel very happy now because I have somebody to help me in times of trouble. Last year, I mismanaged my time and nearly could not finish my project which I had to present to the whole school in less than four hours. I prayed to God for help to finish it. In the nick of time, I finished it and got an A for it. Another time, I had to sit for a piano practical exam. I had a week left to practice and I still had a lot of trouble playing the pieces. The day before the exam, my piano teacher called up and told my parents that it would be a miracle if I could pass the exam. My mom told me that if I did not pass the exam, I would have to quit piano. So I prayed for myself and I sat for the exam nervously the next day. A few months later, my piano teacher called me and told me that I had passed with honors. It was indeed a miracle. I know that Jesus had answered my prayers.

To me the greatest benefit of being a Christian is to know that I have been forgiven of my sins and that if I die right now I will be with the Lord Jesus in heaven forever. If Christ didn’t come to redeem us it would be meaningless for us to live this life. We are blessed to be saved by the Lord Jesus and our purpose on this Earth is to preach the gospel to those who do not know Him so that they too can inherit eternal life in Jesus Christ.
