When I was little, singing songs, listening to stories from the Bible, memorizing verses, and eating snacks was my routine every Sunday morning. After a while, I started to get bored of Sunday school. I rebelled against my Sunday school teachers, saying how boring their class was and telling them that I heard all the stories from the Bible before. As a result, I started skipping Sunday school and played basketball instead. I felt that basketball was more important than church, and that church was just a place for me to hang out and cause trouble. This attitude of mine continued to stay with me as I grew up.

In 2003, I went to a winter conference. It was there, that I started to learn what being a Christian is about. It was also at that conference that I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour. I prayed and asked Him to come into my life and forgive me, because I know that I am a sinner.

From the day I accepted Jesus, I felt joy and peace in my heart. I know that God still loves me even though I turned my back on Him. “This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:22-24) I thank God everyday for giving me the chance to know Him. Because with Jesus in my heart, guiding my every step, I know that I will have eternal life.
