Monica Ko

Monica KoHi, I・m Monica and I have a twin sister Jessica. When I was small I used to think that everyone liked her better than me. She was always better than me in piano, homework and lots of other stuff, so people liked her better. I was really sad because I felt like I was her except she was better. I was born into a Christian family, but I didn・t really know what it meant to be a Christian, just that you have to go to church every Sunday. I learned that God loves me so much that he died for everyone on the cross even me. Also that He created the world because He saw how great we would be, and He would still do the same if I was the only one on earth. That really made me feel loved. That is how I became a Christian.

Afterwards, I wanted to learn more about God. I learned a lot from teachers and my parents. I learned that when you hurt other people, you・re hurting God because God loves them too; that if you sin, it gets harder for God to see you because He doesn・t like sin. God loves you just the way you are; also a lot of other stuff too. That is what made me a better Christian.

Now I think I・m ready to know God better and show people how being a Christian is so awesome, in every way. Mr. Nicanor my old teacher was so dedicated to being a Christian. If you saw him and didn・t know him you would know he was a Christian by the way he lives his life. And I want to be like that too – when people see me they would just know that I must be a Christian.
