Thank you for visiting ECBC! We are glad you can join us.
This class is for those who wish to undergo Christian baptism. Baptism is the ritual of immersion into water to symbolize putting the "old person" to death, being raised out of water to symbolize inheriting new life in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-4). The need for baptism comes as a command from our Lord Jesus (Matthew 28:19).
The baptism class has two purposes:
The church conducts baptisms twice a year -- once during the Easter season, and once during the Christmas season. Each baptism class consists of eleven sessions. Classes usually commence in early February for the Easter baptism and in October for the Christmas baptism.
For more information please contact the ECBC church office.
Membership requirements correspond with the baptism requirements. Baptism candidates who undergo the eleven sessions qualify for church membership.
