How To Know God?

One can begin a relationship with God right now:

• Realize that you are a sinner.
  
  Sin simply means that we have lived our lives without regard and without need for God who created us in the first place. As such we constantly fail miserably at becoming a good person and struggle to find meaning in life.
  
  
• Recognize that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for the consequences of your separation from God by dying on the cross for you.
  
  "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." (Romans 5:8)
  
  
• Receive this gift of connection to God through acknowledgement of your sins, and accepting what Jesus Christ has done for you. This is best done by speaking to God about it - Christians call this praying.

You can begin this relationship with God right now by merely asking:

Dear God, I ask you to forgive me and to come into my life right now. I believe that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for my separation from you. I thank you that my relationship with you is based on the work and merits of Jesus on my behalf. Please help me from now on to maintain this relationship with you.
