Personal Information Collected

ECBC collects information that is actively provided by its members or visitors. This typically includes: name, address, phone number, email address.

Members or visitors may choose not to provide ECBC with any or a portion of the personal information listed above.

Calls or correspondence with members or visitors may be recorded for accuracy, performance reviews and training.

Sharing of Personal Information

ECBC does not sell the personal information of its members or visitors. However, this information may be shared with third parties acting on ECBC’s behalf or as permitted or required by law.

Security of Personal Information

Personal information is stored in a combination of paper and electronic files. ECBC maintains appropriate safeguards to protect its members’ or visitors’ personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure or misuse. Although ECBC cannot take responsibility for any theft, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, loss, alteration or destruction of data by a third party, ECBC takes reasonable precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.

Verification of Personal Information

Members or visitors may request to review the personal information collected about them by ECBC by contacting the ECBC Church Office or by sending an email to ecbcweb @ ecbc.org. Subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law, and provided ECBC can authenticate the member’s or visitor’s identity, the member or visitor will be given reasonable access to their personal information, and will be entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and to have it amended as appropriate.

Deletion of Personal Information

ECBC keeps personal information only as long as it needs it for the services provided to that member of visitor, and for a reasonable time thereafter or to meet any legal requirements. The personal information is destroyed or deleted when it is no longer needed.

A member or visitor may also request that ECBC removes his personal information from their records. Subject to requirements for continued retention of this information (for example, for accounting or audit purposes), ECBC Inc will make every reasonable effort to honor this request.
