Worship is an integral part of our Christian life. If you are reading this, then you have met all 
the prerequisites needed to praise God -- as long as you are breathing, you qualify!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!
-- Psalm 150:6
When we come to worship God, we do so with our whole being: our minds, our emotions, our bodies, our spirit. We acknowledge who He is and that He is worthy to be praised, regardless of the circumstances that we're in.
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. -- John 4:23-24
During worship, God meets us where we are. His Spirit touches our spirit. And when that happens, we will never be the same again!
There are a number of teams that facilitate worship during our services. Now these teams are not mandatory for worship -- we can worship God when we're alone, with no instruments, with no electricity, or even in prison! 
However, whenever we can, we want to worship Him with all that we have, using all the talents and abilities He has given us.
