Thank you for visiting ECBC! We are glad you can join us.
Zion Fellowship was started in 1979
to help international students settle into the Canadian way of life and to provide for them a home away from home. Through the years, Zion Fellowship has evolved into a more generic “Young Adults Fellowship”, no longer catering to international students alone. We welcome anyone of any age to be a part of the group although our major demographics consist of young adults 25-35.
Our focus is to provide a supportive community and to grow spiritually through studying the Bible, worship, prayer, and various activities. We realize it’s easy for someone to get “lost” in the midst of a bigger church body.
We wish to provide a warm community where people can feel welcomed and a part of the family.
Young adulthood is a very exciting stage of life that presents countless changes, choices, and challenges. We believe that a strong spiritual community connection is vital to this stage. Through our Friday meetings and various activities, strong friendships have developed that carried us through a lot of these. In such, our fellowship extends beyond the formal meeting times.
As members of the fellowship move on through various stages of life (overseas work, marriage, children, etc.), we have also started various small groups to cater to these groups of people. We currently have a few Young-Couples support groups as well as a Young-Families support group meeting regularly. These groups branched out of Zion Fellowship as the needs arose. Our friendship remains a strong bond.
Zion meets every Friday at 8:00 PM in ECBC’s room 119 (unless otherwise announced). A typical Zion Fellowship night begins with worship, followed by a brief time of announcements, introductions and mingling over some snacks and chit-chats.
Then we either break into small groups for Bible Study or get back together in the big group for our special programs.
We hope you will come and join us!
